I spent all day yesterday with my campaign team at the wonderful Kemptown Carnival.
Our base was Florence, a 1947 electric milk float (the 2nd oldest in the country!) loaned to me by Martin Lawrence (thank you Martin !). Florence received many admiring look and compliments during the day from Carnival-goers.
We gave out literally thousands of DavyJones4Kemptown and Re-elect Caroline Lucas leaflets. And we promoted may important local campaigns – Save Our Deans, Defend the NHS Sussex, No to Hove Park Academy, The Living Rent Campaign and others.
We are overwhelmed by the friendly reception we received from almost everyone – there was lots of enthusiasm for the Greens.
We also worked closely with the team for the Brighton Yoga Festival (http://www.brightonyogafestival.org/) who flash-mobbed their way around Kemptown and promoted the Festival on 26 July in the heart of Kemptown.
And above all we soaked up the energy and the sunshine at Kemptown Carnival – a huge well done to all those who promoted and organised it!
